Two More Videos Showing How Terrifying This Week's California Mudslides Were

There's a lot of videos out there of the terrible mudslides and debris flows in California earlier this week, and more keep popping up.

At last report, 17 people had died in the mudslides and eight others were still missing. While the rain has stopped and is not expected to start again for more than a week, the damage is clearly done.

It'll take a long time to recover from the worst of the mess in California.

Here's one video of a mud and rockslide shoving a car own a road in Burbank, California. The occupants of the car are reported to have escaped without injury. Video via the Weather Network:



Next video is the increasing terror as the mudslides engulfs Montecito, California in the pre-dawn hours Monday. At first, the person taking the video is outdoors, warning a van driver to get out now because the debris flow is coming.

Then, he goes inside, while the house rapidly fills up with mud:
