Dramatic Video: Man Struck By Lightning While Walking Dogs

A still shot from a surveillance video of a man being struck
by lightning in Texas.  He was found with no pulse, but bystanders
performed CPR and he is now recovering.  The dogs ran off
but police found them and gave them back to the man
after he was released from the hospital.
I guess this is an extreme example of why you shouldn't be out in thunderstorms.

A man walking his dogs recently in Spring, Texas was struck by lightning as he crossed a parking lot. It was all caught on a security camera. Video is at the bottom of this post.

Thankfully, there were a number of bystanders who saw it happen and rushed to the man's aid. When they got to the victim, he was not breathing, some of his clothes were charred and his shoes and socks had been blown off,  ABC13 in Houston reported.

The Good Samaritans performed CPR and called 911, saving the man's life. The man, Alex Coreas, spent four days in the hospital but is now at home.

Coreas told ABC13 that he was walking his dogs and noticed a thunderstorm pop up suddenly. He started walking faster to make it home when he was struck.

When the lightning struck, the man's dogs ran off into the woods, but police later found them uninjured.  Coreas was reunited with the dogs on Sunday.

Here's the video:
